Dear Reader:
For over forty years I have investigated and studied many different meta-physical teachings as well as religious points of view. I have primarily looked for the similarities in their various perspectives rather than their differences. We can always find something to disagree with someone over, whereas I feel the more we can share in common about our individual views on the spiritual issues of life, the more we can accept the brotherhood and sisterhood of humankind.
I was raised a Methodist, married a Baptist; so I’ve been sprinkled, splashed and dunked. In the late sixty’s I started investigating other teachings, including Spiritualism where we studied mediumship and other psychic disciplines. I had the pleasure of studying with groups from Houston, Texas to the bay area of California. Then I moved to Palm Springs and studied Religious Science (Science of Mind) and the Unity philosophy.
In the eighty’s I moved to Phoenix and became an associate minister of the Temple of Aton, and for the first year had an average of five meetings a week in my home.
We had guest speakers that ranged from a New Age teaching to people who worked in the professional arena of health practitioners, hypnotherapist, and psychiatrist covering topics such as comparative religion, history and mythology.
I was attending a workshop in Phoenix and someone said KISS; keep it simple stupid. I replied that I didn’t think it was nice to call anyone stupid, when another person quipped, “no, KISMIF, Keep It Simple – Make It Fun”. As simple as this is, it became a guideline in my teaching approach. Form this, the KISMIF way unfolded. I discovered that when we looked for the fun in our studies, everyone shared more. Joy was the by-product of the adventures in awareness.
The lessons and comments given here are shared with the hope that some of the material will help anyone who reads it to have a better and broader understand on their path to self-realization and the fantastic world of Spirit that we all live in and breathe in, whether we are conscious of it or not.
